Courtney Holland

Courtney graduated with her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Washington in 2006. She received her undergraduate degree and teaching certification from Western Washington University in Special Education in 2004. She's worked in various special education settings including the Little Red School House, residential home placements, and also taught in the Bellevue School District in a classroom for children with severe and profound disabilities from 2nd through 5th grade.

Presently she works at the Harbour Pointe Montessori Early Learning Center, and has helped create a program for children 18 months to 3 for children with and without disabilities. This program includes 2 hour early learning groups where staff facilitate positive interactions with all children involved while also working on individual learning goals.

She's worked at various summer camps for individuals with disabilities including Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp in Mt. Hood, Oregon and Ramapo Anchorage Camp located in upstate NY. In addition, she's done research in animal therapies, including completing an internship in Panama City Beach, FL researching the effects of dolphin therapy on children and adults with disabilities.
